• What encoding settings do you use for movies?
We don't share our encoding specs, but the EpixHD.com video player is capable of streaming multiple levels of quality to your browser. You are able to decide whether you want to watch a movie in variable quality or in the highest quality.

Movies are available in the following resolution and bitrates:

    • 1280x720 3000kbps, peak 6000kbps
    • 1280x720 2200kbps, peak 4400kbps
    • 1024x576 1700kbps, peak 3400kbps
    • 768x432 1200kbps, peak 2400kbps
    • 768x432 900kbps, peak 1800kbps
    • 512x288 500kbps, peak 1000kbps

When in "Variable/Seamless" mode, the stream quality will run the range of all the values depending on your connection speed. If a you choose to watch a movie only in the highest quality possible, choose the “Maximum/Locked” mode in the stream info menu in the player.
