• Why is my video playback stuttering?
When a video begins to stutter, it's usually the result of your computer not having enough power or free resources to play video. Additionally, it could be because your Internet connection is too slow.

    Bandwidth Problems

If you are experiencing both an audio and video stutter during playback, the most likely cause is an issue with your internet connection. Click the "Stream Info" button in the player to make sure you've got at least 575Kbps of bandwidth available. If you see a bandwidth number less than 575Kbps (it's the number on the left) quit other programs that may be using the Internet (like Bit Torrent) and make sure you or your roommate isn't on Skype or your VoIP phone and give it a shot again. Also, you might need to talk to any other people who are sharing your Internet connection. If they're hogging the connection, it could be impacting your performance. If you've still got a slow Internet connection, you probably need to call your Internet provider.

    Computer Problems

If you're seeing video playback stutter, especially in full screen playback, you're probably out of memory or have maxed-out your CPU. Try freeing up memory by quitting other programs. If you still see stutter in full screen, but not when the video is small in the web page, then your CPU is not powerful enough to play video in full screen... and it's probably time for an upgrade.

If all else fails, you may need to reinstall Flash.
